From Trauma to Hope: Kim’s Story

July 11, 2023

Kim is an advocate, activist, ally, constant learner, and a firm believer that everyone’s story has value, and our voices can make an impact.

Here’s a glimpse at her story…

  • “One of the first things I learned in healing from trauma and from addiction is that I needed to ask for what I needed.”
  • “Recovery’s also about telling your story and changing the narrative.”
  • “I can’t change what happened, but I can change how I think about it, and I can change how I react and respond to it. And I choose to take it as a gift and use it to do something positive.”

Watch this video and learn about the challenges she’s overcome.
